Very authentic and fresh Mexican food! Great service and a really good price considering their portion. Not a lot of vegetarian options but their vegetarian tacos were amazing!! The server was very generous and gave me a tasting sip of Hibiscus drink. 2 tacos are steal! Will surely visit again.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a small, family-owned Mexican taco restaurant called "El Original Mexico Restaurant." The restaurant is located in a somewhat hidden spot, but it is well worth seeking out. On Market St, in Passaic New Jersey, this restaurant brings out the food of its people with great prices. The tacos are made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and the flavors are truly authentic. I tried the carnitas taco, which was made with slow-cooked pork that was tender and flavorful. The al pastor taco was also excellent, with its smoky, marinated pork and pineapple. What a unique sweet taste it gives off. The tortillas are made fresh daily, and they are the perfect vehicle for the delicious fillings. The salsas are also made in-house, and they add the perfect amount of heat and acidity to the tacos. The service was friendly and attentive. The staff is always happy to make recommendations, and they are willing to go the extra mile to make sure that you have a great dining experience. Overall, I had a wonderful meal. Not only that but the horchata was delicious, the service excellent, and the prices are very reasonable. Only 2 per taco, with a wide variety of options to choose from. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves authentic Mexican food.

This is an excellent alternative for somebody looking for authentic Mexican food location is quite odd, parking is a little bit difficult but okay on Sundays. We wait for 10 minutes but once we got seated it was quite an experience. My family wanted to try tacos al pastor but in my case I chose "arrechera": check the picture, Santisima Virgen de la Guadalupe!! Viva Mexico!

The place is cozy, servers are very helpful and kind, and foods are great and cheap. I went at sunday night and it was very crowded so had to wait about an hour eith the waiting list, but foods came out quick as I’ve ordered. I was afraid of ordering at first because it seemed like everyone was speaking Spanish there, but all servers spoke English and they had English menu so it was no problem. The prices are relatively cheaper since I’m used to paying 5 per taco wheen it’s 2 here. I got myself about 8 tacos and total only came about 24. Only possible challenges are maybe finding a street parking and that you may have to share table with another party. Definitely recommended.

Great mexican restaurant. As soon as you go in it feels like Mexico like The decoration and the music. The staff is super friendly. The food is delicious. The serve you chips when seated. The portions are big. We ordered Steak Tostadas, different flavorede tacos and a chicken sandwich. The natural juices are very good. Definitely will be coming back.

Came here the other day and had an awesome time! The staff was pretty chill and somewhat attentive. We ordered a bunch of different tacos, al pastor, bistec, camaron, lengua, and tripa, and honestly, they were some of the most authentic tacos I’ve ever had. The cucumber/lime drink was super refreshing, and the tortas were really good too. I saw another table get pozole and some other dishes that looked amazing, so I’m definitely coming back for that, plus the prices are great!
